Juneteenth Happy Hour
Our first happy hour, bringing Black media and entertainment professionals into one room to celebrate culture, community and freedom.
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit · Media & entertainment
A Different World Collective is a nonprofit community for Black professionals in media and entertainment — uniting, uplifting and empowering the people who move this industry.

01Why we exist
Careers in media and entertainment are made in proximity — who you sit next to, who remembers your name, who says it when you are not in the room.
A Different World Collective creates spaces where Black professionals can connect with people who understand their experiences and their ambitions — and build the relationships that careers are made of.
“A Different World Collective is a non profit organization that serves Black professionals by uniting, uplifting, and empowering within the media & entertainment community.”

05Impact
We create spaces where Black professionals across media and entertainment can meet, connect and grow together.
06Partnership
We work with brands, agencies, media organizations, venues, employee resource groups and funders who want to reach Black media and entertainment professionals in a space they chose to be in.
01
Back a gathering that reaches Black media and entertainment professionals in a room they chose to be in, rather than an audience bought at arm's length.
Brands, agencies and media organizations
02
Open a space and put your organization in front of the community as a host rather than a logo.
Studios, offices, restaurants and event spaces
03
Co-build sessions with ADW that serve both memberships — the community ADW convenes and the people inside your organization.
